The Renaissance

First of all, this fan site is a tribute to David King from Resident Evil Outbreak Series, dedicated to those who first of all respect the character and admire him as he is because this is the meaning of the word fan.

David is the character I most look like and consequently, the one I most admire. Additionally, it is an amazing challenge to think about his whole life using the information on the games. They are few but precious – this site is a reproduction of his ability of a person who efficiently does the maximum disposing of the minimum available resources. Writing high quality texts about him is a pastime; a hobby I frequently practice since long time ago. This is an attempt of doing another unmatchable work for him.

The main reason for the name “The Renaissance” is the fact that David walks from a dark past to a bright future thanks to his efforts to change his life using his job to gain honestly people’s respect and survive the daily life. The name also resembles other moment of his life; the moment after leaving Raccoon City in which he probably heads towards the place he is going to start over again stronger than before.

The second reason is that his image is frequently wasted in several ways by self-proclaimed fans and not haters, the saddest situation I have ever faced to. Some fake fans simply misunderstand him thanks to the complexity the character is while perverts waste their time creating crappy stuff to satisfy certain fantasies not respecting what the character is; they modify everything him by creating wrong interpretations as an attempt to justify their aggressive attitude with him. It’s rare but this is the most ridiculous thing that exists. Nothing fairer than a true fan brings back to surface his real image.

The name “The Renaissance” certainly makes reference to a period of art history as well as to the mythological bird that rebirth from ashes, the phoenix. This name was chosen because what happens to David can be somehow compared with these two situations.

The objective of this fan site was to provide the most complete source about the character in two ways: offering more consistent writings about the true him and decline random foolishness. In both cases, there is a collection evidences supplied by both games for supporting every single word written on this shrine.

This database is the result of one year being the best aftermath role-player of the character on MySpace. In other words, for reproducing the character after the Raccoon City incident, I had to deeply study his behavior, every single happening related to him - to know if it is true or not - and go back to the past. After knowing what probably happened to him, it was possible to project a reasonable future for him. About his past and future, there is a theory for each containing what I consider to be the truth based on evidences because everything makes perfectly sense.
